OMHA championship tournament game 2
The Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express played their second game of the OMHA playdown championship tournament against Napanee.

Napanee has had an amazing season up to this point and after losing their first game, it was a must win for them.  The boys were flying in this game and it showed on the scoreboard as the they scored twice in the period.  Eli North scored both goals in the period with Parker Cook getting the helpers on both goals.

In the second, Napanee started to put the pressure on but Jaxon Pinard was up to the test making great saves throughout the period.  Late in the period, Kellen Whetstone made the score 3-0 going into the third with the assist going to the captain Jeremy Stiles.

In the third Napanee put immense pressure on the boys and it was causing penalty trouble for them.  Early in the frame with the Stars on the power play, they cut the lead to 3-1.  With the period wearing on, you could see the momentum starting to swing and Napanee scored with 1:41 remaining on the period.  With the net empty and the Stars throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the Express net, Pinard and the defense did everything they could to earn the victory.  The boys put their bodies on the line to come out with a huge 3-2 win.

With the combination of the Express win and Napanee and Lindsay both losing, it guaranteed them a spot in the semi finals on Sunday.  The Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express next game would be Saturday night against the heavy favorites St. Mary's Rock.
