Getting burned by the Flames
Last night, the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express travelled to Alymer for a playoff game against the Flames.
The boys were trying to build off a decent win against Tavistock but ran into a wall in the form of the goalie from Alymer. In the first, the boys carried the play and had some quality chances but could not find the back of the net.
In the second, the boys ran into penalty trouble and the Flames made the boys pay scoring on the power play making the score 1-0 after two periods of play.
In the third, the boys put some pressure on the Flames but the netminder stood on his head leading Alymer to the 1-0 victory. Evan Young was solid in net for the boys.
The Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express finish off the playoff round by travelling to Ayr on Tuesday night. Ayr and Ingersoll will face each other in near future in a best of three series to see who will represent the Southern Counties League in the OMHA playdown championship tournament in April.
