Express keep rolling
On Thursday night the Ingersoll Louie's Pizza and Pasta U15 Express hosted Tillsonburg at the barn in Ingersoll.
The Express were coming off their second tournament championship and some were wondering if this might be a let down game. Tillsonburg was coming into last night's game with an undefeated record. It was a back and forth first period and the boys from Ingersoll struck first when Ethan Kish fed a beauty of a pass to a wide open Eli North. North made no mistake burying a shot just under the crossbar. The boys were leading 1-0 going into the second period.
Early in the second the boys would extend the lead when Ryan Gregg to a pass from Tyler Fleming and went under the goalie's pad making it 2-0. The score remained the that way going into the third.
Early in the third Tillsonburg would cut the lead in half but soon after the Express would extend the lead to two again when Ethan Kish would take a pass from Ryan Gregg and bulging the twine. Jeremy Stiles was credited with the other assist. Two minutes later Kolten Winkworth would make a long stretch pass to Ethan Kish who then fed it to Parker Cook who made no mistake making the score 4-1.
Evan Young, again was solid between the pipes leading the Express to a 4-1 victory.
It should be noted that the discipline has been great for the Express as this was the second consecutive game without receiving a penalty.
