Game #10 - Express bounce back in Twin Centres
Starting a home and home vs the Twin Centre Stars, the boys wanted to come out and get themselves back in the win column after a tough loss to Tillsonburg last Thursday. Between the pipes tonight for your Express was Tanner Belore, who came to play.

Our Louie's U15's started fast as they pressed the play early and often. The pressure finally paid off as #20 Jeremy Stiles picked up a loose puck and went to the backhand and slid one through the five hole of the Stars netminder to give the visitors the lead.

The 2nd period did not start the way we wanted as Westin Matsumoto got called for checking from behind. What the spectators were not expecting was the fact that Westin was assessed a 5 min major and a game misconduct, which we would find out at the end of the game was a 3 game suspension. Without their captain, and down a man for five, the team played a solid defensive style and gave the home squad very little to work with in regards to space, and when they were able to penetrate the zone, Belore was there to shut the door. We would finally get that insurance marker later in the period, which would turn out to be important, as Josh Robles found line mate Colton Macpherson who found the back of the net, giving the Express a 2-0 lead. The Stars would tally to get the score within one while Robles was in the box for a slash late in the 2nd.

The third period was controlled by the Express, outshooting the Stars 13-2 in this frame. Kudos to the Twin Centres netminder who shut the door on our boys who had several good scoring chances, but nothing to show for it. In the end the Express left town with a 2-1 victory and looking forward to the rematch at home on Thursday night. Congrats boys on a solid effort tonight.
