“This train needed time”
Thursday October 3rd saw us travelling to our 1st out of town regular season game.  Puck drop was at 8pm, and the Express jumped off the bench with little coal in their engines.  The first period saw two goals scored by the “Wolf Pack,” 2-0 Paris at the end of the first.

The second period began and the “Pack” was soon at it again, scoring their 3rd goal at 12:10 on the clock.  Ingersoll had a hard time keeping the puck out of our feet, but managed to put one in the back of the Paris net with 6:58 left in the 2nd, with a nice pass from #19 to #9.  Three minutes later, Parker, #16, scores our second goal, and the train starts to pick up speed.  3-2 heading into the third.

With fifteen minutes set on the clock, Ingersoll throws some coal in their engine, and the fire lights up.  Nate, #1, proves he has no fear of wolves as a Paris player speeds down the ice towards his net, not letting them through his posts.  Express continues to battle it out during the 3rd, as the wolf pack holds strong.  Not strong enough though as #16, 15, and 13, tie up the game with a goal at 4:59 remaining on the clock.  With our Express engines finally up to full speed, we prove that we won’t go away without a win, pulling ahead with another goal.  Line mates #10,16,18,19, and 20 work hard to keep the train moving in the right direction.  Time out is called, and the Express side of the stands gets quiet.  The wolves pull their goalie, and #15 seals the deal with an empty net goal. 5-3 on the board, and another “W” in the books for Ingersoll.  GO EXPRESS GO!
