Remembrance Day
Canadian Tire's Atom LL2 team won one, loss one and tied one this past week.

Ingersoll travelled to Simcoe on November 6th and took home a win with a final score of 2-1.  Mason Durham scored both goals for the Canadian Tire Atom LL2 team.  Everyone played well and worked hard at keeping the puck away from the opposing team.  Well played Express!

Last weekend saw the team busy with two games.  On Saturday November 10th, Ingersoll travelled to Tilsonburg to play the final of their three LL teams.  The game was a nail biter and kept the fans on their toes! Tilsonburg scored two quick goals in the 1st, making it clear our team would have to play hard for the next 3 periods. Near the end of the 1st, Ingersoll's #17 Hayden Stephens scored his 1st goal of the year to finish the 1st period 2-1.  Both teams scored in the 2nd, with Ingersoll's Mason Durham scoring his 1st of the game to finish the 2nd period 4-2.  Determined to not let the Tornadoes off the hook, Canadian Tire's Atom Express battled to make sure to keep the puck away for their opponents, Mason Durham scored the final two goals, netting him his 1st hat trick of the year and tying the game with a final score of 4-4.  Congratulations Mason!

November 11th marked the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI, the Canadian Tire's Atom LL2 team stood in a moment of silence with their opponents, the Waterford Wildcats, before the game to honor all soldiers that fought and continue to fight for freedom and peace.  Unfortunately, the team was defeated in their game, losing 3-1.  Ingersoll's Travis Newell, back from his trip, scored the lone goal, assisted by Owen F.

Today, Ingersoll will travel to the Brant Centre to take on the Paris Wolfpack.  Please join us Monday night in Ingersoll at 6pm to cheer on our Canadian Tire Atom LL2 team when the play against Six Nations!
