OMHA Game 3
On Monday Jan 7th, the Dove Dental Peewee AE boys headed to Paris for game #3 of OMHA Playdowns. This was a must win game for the Express in order to continue with playdowns.
Our Express boys came out with lots of energy & they were aggressive on the puck.
Just over a minute & a half into period 1, #14 C. Groves passed the puck to #7 O. Clarke who was heading out of the zone & up the ice. He made a pass over to #19 B. Plaquet who put the puck five hole to get the boys on the board first. Period 1 would end with Ingersoll up 1-0, due to some amazing saves by #1 T. Belore.
Period 2 seen the boys continue with the energy. They worked together to block shots, intercept passes & stop Paris in the neutral zone to limit the number of shots they had. With 1:46 left, #10 L. Pare passed the puck to #4 J. Strom. He took the puck up the ice, circled around the net & beat the goalie on the other side. Period 2 ended with Ingersoll up 2-0.
Period 3 continued the same type of play. #1 Belore continued to make some difficult stops to keep Paris scoreless. At 7:59, #10 Pare found #17 E. Cuthbert up the ice. He took the puck through the defense, and scored over the goalies shoulder to pad the Ingersoll lead.
Final: Ingersoll 3 Paris 0.
OMHA: Paris 4 points, Ingersoll 2
Congrats to T. Belore for the first shutout of his career! Great work to the entire team!
