Express vs Ayr
On Tuesday Nov 20th, our Dove Dental Peewee AE Express boys welcomed the Ayr Flames for their 2nd meeting of the season.
Period 1 had lots of back & forth action, with shots on goal by both teams. #1 T. Belore fought off all the shots in order to keep the score tied at 0 at the end of the 1st.
The 2nd period started much the same way. Then at 8:18, #17 E. Cuthbert was able to find the back of the net. Ayr was able to tie it up a minute and a half later. Then with 2:37 left, #11 R. Condotta had a beauty of a head's up pass to find #17 Cuthbert streaking up the ice. He deked through the waiting defense & netted his 2nd goal of the game. Just a few seconds later Ayr was able to score. Period 2 ended tied 2-2 & shots on net where pretty much even through the entire game so far.
In Period 3, our Express boys were able to get more than 20 shots on net. At 8:51, on the powerplay, #4 J. Strom made a pass to #7 O. Clarke who found #19 B. Plaquet who made a quick shot to put Ingersoll ahead again. With 2:43 left, we had a 3 on 0 rush into the Ayr end. #4 J. Strom took a shot on net & #7 O. Clarke was there to put the rebound in the back of the net.
Final: Ayr 2 Express 4.
