Rematch Ingersoll At Bandits
Tonight (9/29/2016) our Trembletts YIG Atom AE Express travelled down the 401 to London to take on the London Bandits in a rematch of the season’s 1st game.

The Express hit the ice raring to go and started rolling right off the 1st puck drop, relentlessly attacking the Bandits and drilling shot after shot at the Bandits goalie.

Great passing and hard skating led to the Express finally breaking through midway into the 1st period when Jayden Strom, charging the net quickly buried a rebound off a howitzer from from the stick of Charlie “Chuck” Ashman to make it 1-0 Express.

The Express continued to lay on the offence with the Bandits goalie standing tall, making several saves to keep the score at 1-0 Express.  As the 1st period ran down, The Bandits were given a power play. London made no mistake striking quickly to tie the game at 1.

The second period started with the Bandits trying to exert pressure back on the Express, but strong defence from the whole team supporting our solid goaltending held off any opportunities the Bandits tried to create. WIth the hard work of the Express came the reward, Alex Stratton showed some wizardry setting up Strom to put the Express back out in front 2-1.

The 3rd period was a display of high calibre end to end action with both teams pushing hard.  Solid passing and hustle led to Carter “Wild Thing” Skevington heading to the net from the right side to give the Express some breathing room making it 3-1 Ingersoll. As the Period went on, both teams exchanged opportunities when the Express put the game further out of reach when Chuck Ashman decided to channel his inner Bobby Orr going for an end to end rush to make the score 4-1.

The Express continued to keep the play down in the Bandits end as time expired giving Ingersoll a well earned victory winning 4-1 while outshooting London 26-18.

During the game, one of our own had a nasty spill while protecting the front of the Express net. Cole, hopefully a good night’s sleep finds your bruises feeling better!!

The Tembletts YIG Atom AE Express next stop will be on Sunday night when they Pull into Tillsonburg to take on the Tornadoes at 6:00pm.
