On a cool Tuesday evening, Our Tremblett’s YIG Atom AE Express traveled to the quaint village of Plattsville for the first road game of the 2016-17 regular season. Our Express team looked VERY sharp in their new red jerseys and all the fans were commenting on how great our team looked!
The first period was a little slow for our express boys. It would appear that they needed a few minutes to work all that Thanksgiving turkey out of their systems. Plattsville was able to catch us off guard and they got a great shot past our strong D and the Wall that is Christopher the Eagle Hardeman. That goal was all the fuel that our Express train needed to get moving in a much faster gear. Just as the minutes of the first period were winding down the Express were able to tie everything up with a beauty of goal scored by #11 Dylan Craib and assisted by #19 Brandon Plaquet.
The second period was a lot of back and forth action with most of the action taking place in center ice. Both teams were playing very well defensively and it was a battle back and forth. When the second period ended the Express were able to increase their lead by 2 more goals, making the score 3-1. With goals being scored by #5 Tanner Belore and #18 Carter Skevington. Assists in the period went to #17 Cole McNeil and #7 Charlie Ashman.
The third period our Express train was unstoppable. We were able to score 4 more goals bringing the score to 7-1 as the final buzzer sounded! Goals in the third were scored by #17 Cole McNeil, #18 Carter Skevington, #5 Tanner Belore and #14 Dylan Lale. Assists went to #8 Alex Stratton, #19 Brandon Plaquet, #11 Dylan Craib and #15 Brody Wright.
This game showed that our Tremblett’s YIG Atom AE team is starting to gel and they are starting to look like a team that has played together longer than a month! Fans are able to witness some heads up plays, great tape to tape passes and strong determination from the boys! We cannot wait to see where this season takes us!
Our Ingersoll Express out shot the Plattsville Rage 27-7. Our next game is another roady when we will head out into the arctic air of Embro Arena to take on the the Embro Edge team on Wednesday October 12th at 6:30pm!
