Game #2 - Ingersoll Express 5 - Paris Wolfpack 2
With our Tremblett’s YIG Atom AE Express just finishing a great game earlier in the day, they wasted no time jumping back on the ice, hitting the tracks and steaming down to the Brant Sports complex in Paris to take on the Wolf pack. With the tight competition in the first game of the day our Express were ready to do it all over again.

The 1st period underway and still learning one another’s tendencies, the Express worked hard to start generating some offence with several opportunities to jump ahead. Breaking out, taking some solid shots in deep and from the blue line, there were several close misses but still nothing on the scoreboard to show for it.

The Wolf pack were able to jump on a quick rush coming back the other way and despite 2 great saves from Hardeman, they pounced on a loose puck  in a mad scramble and made it 0-1.

The second period got started and The Express continued pouring on the heat working hard trying to get on the board when Dylan “Dill Pickle” Lale took a pass from Jayden Strom and ripped one home getting the Express on the board.

The Wolfe pack not to back down came back with a quick response to take the lead back making it 1-2. But not to be out done, the Express rolled right back ending a flurry of offence with Jayden Strom hammering home a pass finishing off a 3 way play from The “Tanman” Tanner Belore and Dylan Lale. The period ended all squared up at 2.

The third period started with the Express starting to fire on all cylinders.  With the offence starting to click, the Defence started pressing hard making some runs creating opportunities and keeping Paris on their heels when Brandon “El Brando” Plaquet made a nice play cutting into the slot and burying his shot through the Paris goalies five hole putting the Express into the lead 3-2.

Just  3 minutes later, the offence struck again with Kian Brown making a great pass into Logan Pare who oh so smoothly redirected the pass into the net to create a 2 goal margin.

As the 3rd period wound down, the Wall set up by our Express defence combined with yet more stellar goaltending by the Eagle staved off  any attempt Paris had to create some offence with Cole McNeil cementing the victory on an empty net goal.

2 great games to start the campaign and hopefully many more to come!!! Good job Express!!
