The boys maintained their "high-flying", "in your face" brand of hockey by not giving the Leafs an inch. Right from the opening face off the forwards put relentless pressure on the Leaf's D forcing numerous turn overs and creating multiple scoring opportunities for themselves.
The scoring opened early in the second period with a dump in into the corner by Parkhill. Suozzi stripped the puck from the Langotn D, beat two more opponents and put in a low hard shot into the far corner. Suozzi tallied his second goal of the game from the side of the net converting a beautiful pass from Kuhlman on the point.
Bergman provided a lot of offense, but was stymied, as was Dench and the rest of the crew. The Express had numerous quality chances, and the score doesn't reflect the Ingersoll dominance because of the brilliant play of the Langton netminder.
Brunzlow made the clutch saves to keep the Express momentum high, and with the help of his rock solid defense, preserved the shot out. Coach Ashman kept his defensive core in line as the Holt - McArthur pair were impenetrable in their own end, while the Kuhlman - George pair held the offensive blue like a fortress.
