More Heart Attack Hockey
The Verspeeten boys put on another exciting show tonight as they travelled down Hwy #19 to take on the Tilsonburg Tornadoes.

The Express came out a little flat and by 1 minute into the second period they were down by two goals.  Not sure what coach Nutt said on the bench, but five minutes later they were up by one. It started with a howitzer by Suozzi from the top of the circle, assisted by Parkhill. The second marker was a goal scorer's goal from the slot by Parkhill, unassisted.  Bergman provided the lead with a great move in close to the goalie, assisted by Ashman and Dench.  Tilsonburg fought back and tied it up with just under two minutes left in the second.

The end to end play continued until Russell picked up a pass from Dench in the slot and made no mistake to give Ingersoll the lead again.  Tilsonburg did not roll over and scored two goals within two minutes to take the lead, again.  Then, with the man advantage, Verspeeten carried the play down to the Tilsonburg end where Parkhill converted a great pass from Suozzi to bring the teams even once again.  Despite numerous quality passed and shots by the Express they were unable to put a sixth goal past the impressive Tornado goalie and they took home the tie.

Once again, the defence was their consistent, non-flashy, fundamentally sound, clear the puck, unit; just the way coach Suozzi likes it.

It's not whether you get knocked down; it's whether you get up.
