Ponting Financial Boys Grab Two Big Wins on the Road
Express Pee Wee REP defeat Aylmer & Ayr on the Road

Thursday night the Ingersoll Express Ponting Financial Pee Wee REP team travelled to Aylmer to face the second place Flames in a must win game to keep pace for one of the top spots in the Southern Counties.  Express winger Owen Longlade (Kaleb Kloepfer & Cohen Belore) got the boys started when he ripped a shot over the glove hand of the Flames goalie to give the Express an early 1-0 lead.  Going into the second frame the relentless forecheck of the Express forwards allowed them to force a turnover when Kloepfer held the offensive zone and managed to slide the puck to the corner where winger Benham Martin picked it up and fed Joel Verspeeten in the slot to give the Express a 2-0 lead.  Early in the third period the Express went on the power play and Verspeeten (Tye House & Max Branderhorst)  was able to bang home a loose puck in the paint to secure the 3-0 victory.  Getting the win was Seth Clark stopping all six shots he faced , and Carter Spence coming in the final period for the joint Shutout and stopping all six shots he faced.
Saturday night the team travelled to Ayr in what will be a preview of a OMHA First Round match up coming in early January.  Saturday's game carried a lot at stake with both teams wanting to set the tone for the upcoming OMHA's as well as the winner would lock up the second place spot in the Southern Counties League.
Tye House (Evan Hopson & Joel Verspeeten) got the train moving full steam ahead as he out waited the sprawling Flames goalie for an early 1-0 lead. Ingersoll struggled in their defensive zone for four minutes in the opening frame but managed to finish the period off in Express fashion.  Cranking up the defensive pressure in the second period Cohen Belore forced a turnover in the Flames end, circled the net and found Seth Hedges (Belore & Longlade)splitting the seam and rifling a blast past the Flames netminder. Ingersoll controlled the final frame with spectacular puck possession and the "Men in Black" of Braden Wright, Ethan Capern, Seth Hedges, Aden Brown and Kloepfer.  All five D-Man brought their game to another level to secure the 2-1 victory.  Carter Spence sealed the "W" stopping 16 of 17 shots.
The Express finish up the Regular Season at home Monday night at the Madhouse on Mutual with a 7:40pm puck drop vs. the Waterford Wildcats.
