Saturday the Ponting Financial Pee Wee REP team took to the road for their longest stretch of the Southern Counties season and opened it in Brant County with the St. George Generals. Needing a few points to secure a berth in the Southern Counties "A" Division for the second half of the season the Express boys were focused on the task at hand, but knew points this late in the game weren't going to come by easy.  Seth Hedges (Owen Longlade, Tye House) opened the scoring in the opening few minutes when he wired a slapshot on the Power Play past the net minder to give the Express an early 1-0 lead.  Ingersoll continued to throw a lot of rubber towards the Generals net but were unable to get another digit lit up on the scoreboard.  The second period the Generals mounted some high energy of their own as they dominated the second period scoring two goals of their own past Express netminder Carter Spence.  Ingersoll resorted back to their Sandpaper Style of hockey as they went on the Defensive Attack to gain  back the games momentum and worked their Power Play once again as Joel Verspeeten (Max Branderhorst, Brodee Nurse) evened things up at two goals apiece.  A few minutes later the Express Power Play went on the offensive attack once again as Tye House scored the winner from a great pass from behind the net from his wingman Cohen "Red Bull" Belore.  Ingersoll's defense was stellar all game especially the tandem of Aden Brown and Kaleb Kloepfer who logged a lot of big minutes on the PK for the Express.  Spence turned away 5 of the 7 shots he faced in the match.  Next up for Ingersoll, Sunday in Simcoe 3:50pm game time.
