Ponting Pee Wee’s Win on the Road – Lose at Home
Your Ingersoll Express Ponting Financial Pee Wee rep team split a pair of games this past week. The team registered a win on the road last Wednesday night in Langton versus the Leafs and lost a tight game at home last Thursday against the Tillsonburg Tornados.

In Langton, start time was pushed back more than an hour when the zamboni operator failed to turn on the auger while cleaning the ice prior to the Atom rep game. Your Ingersoll team went on to defeat Langton 5-1, but the score could have been much higher if Ingersoll cashed in on their opportunities.

Aiden Brown recorded a goal and two assists in leading the Ingersoll attack. Owen Longlade, Evan Hopson, Seth Hedges, and Joel Verspeeten all scored for Ingersoll. Tye House, Brody Nurse and Cohen Belore were credited with assists. Seth Clark was the winning goalie for Ingersoll. Clark made a number of excellent saves in the game.

In Ingersoll at the old barn on Mutual, your Ingersoll Ponting Financial Pee Wee’s welcomed their Highway 19 rivals. Ingersoll controlled the puck for most of the game, but would lose the game 1-0 to the Tillsonburg squad.

Seth Clark was sharp in goal for Ingersoll making a number of outstanding saves for the home team. Tillsonburg were credited a power play goal at the end of the second period as the buzzer sounded to end the period. The referees huddled together for a meeting and decided the goal would stand.

The goal energized the Tornados as the visitors came out for the third a much different team. Clark kept the score 1-0 with some great saves. Ingersoll snipers were kept off the score sheet in this game. Ingersoll power play opportunities produced nothing and seemed to lack energy. Ingersoll’s lack of urgency in the third could be the result of playing their second game in as many nights. Clark was pulled with just over a minute to play, but Tillsonburg would hang on for the win.
