heart breaking loss
Butterworth's returned home last night for an important game against Waterford. In the first period D. Piper took a shot from just outside the blue line and the puck had eyes and found the back of the net making it 1-0. In the second period E. Kish made it 2-0 but Waterford cut the lead in half making it 2-1 after 2 periods. Early in the third K. Winkworth took a nice pass from T. Newell to make it 3-1 for Butterworth's. As the period went on Waterford found their legs and netted 3 quick goals taking the lead and holding off a furious attempt from Butterworth's to tie the game. The final score was 4-3 for Waterford. N. Crane was solid in net again for Butterworth's. Assists went to E. Kish, B. Huitema and T. Newell.
