This Thursday March 10th Butterworth's Novice Local League # 3 heads to Simcoe for the "B" division semi final playoff game. With their backs against the wall roughly 2 weeks ago and out of the playoff picture, Butterworth's have clawed and fought all the way back clinching a playoff spot last week. They are undefeated in their last 5 going 3 wins, 0 losses and 2 ties including wins against both Six Nations and Simcoe. Butterworth's goes into this game being the underdog, but with a quiet confidence. Hard work has paid off with a great coaching staff and hard working players buying into the system. Good luck Butterworth's, and your family and friends will cheering loud and proud!!!!

Last night Butterworth's novice local league # 3 continued their late playoff push hosting Six Nations. It was a great game and Butterworth's opened the scoring in the first and had a 2-0 lead early in the second when Six Nations scored 2 quick goals to tie the game going into the third period. With both teams exchanging penalties in the third B. Huitema popped in a rebound "upstairs" to break the tie. Then, with the Six Nations net empty, E. Kish was able to score his second of the game to make the final 4-2. N. Crane was great in net once again for Butterworth's. The other goal scorer was B. Randall. Assists went to U. Jewkes with 2 and R. Gregg.
