Unifor Local 88 Petrolia Silver Stick Wrap Up
The boys started this tournament strong with a 3-1 victory over Mt. Brydges putting themselves straight into the semifinals for their second contest.

The game against Mt. Brydges was an even contest with both teams struggling on the uncleaned ice in the first period making it a slow game.  The second period was a fresh start for both on a freshly cleaned ice pad speeding it up for everyone.  Ingersoll would score first with a faceoff win by Rizzo in Mt. Brydges end, Dunn would make the pass to Graham where he would put Ingersoll ahead 1-0.  Mt. Brydges would score to even it up but not for long.  Gedies stops the puck at the blue line and puts a slap shot on net where Graham would tip it in taking the lead 2-1.  Hogg would add one late with a shot on net that looks to have been tipped by the opposing team.  Having a 3-1 lead Ingersoll would then rely on the fore-check to keep the pressure out of their defensive zone to take the win.

In their second game they would meet up with the eventual tournament champions the Petrolia Oilers Midget Rep team.  They proved to be too much for Ingersoll in this contest handing the Unifor Local 88 team a 4-0 loss.

In their last game of the tournament they would meet the West London Hawks with the winner to face Petrolia in the finals.  This game had everything from big hits to goal line snipes from the corner.  West London took an early 3 goal lead, but Ingersoll kept coming back.  Lednicky would make the pass to Gedies from behind the net to where Gedies made no mistake 3-1.  Next up Lindsay goes crashing into the net to tuck in the puck to bring the game back within one.  London would score again to make it a two goal lead, but Ingersoll kept fighting.  Mayo held the blue line getting the puck down to Graham where he would make the nice pass out front to Dunn with the touch brings it back to a one goal difference at 4-3.  West London would score 2 more goals to pad their lead to 6-3.  Graham was able to put one more in for Ingersoll with a slap shot assists going to Rizzo and Zegers on the goal.  Ingersoll loses 6-4 to West London Hawks.
