Unifor Local 88 in Tough Against Top Teams
The Ingersoll midget rep boys took on three tough teams in Tillsonburg, Burford, and Port Dover in their last three contests.

The first game had them on the road against an always tough opponent in Tillsonburg.  Tillsonburg came out early scoring two goals in the first period.  In the second period we have Ingersoll making their first mark on the scoreboard with Joel Couse’s PP goal assisted by Lindsay.  Tillsonburg replies right away to go 2 up again.  Lednicky at the end of the second period scores one from his back “Ovechkin style” to bring Ingersoll back within one.  That was as close as it would get with Tillsonburg handing Ingersoll a 4-2 loss.

In the second game Ingersoll had home ice advantage against Burford.  This was a fast paced game that had both teams matched up very well.   The second period Ingersoll took over and opened the scoring with Zegers going baseline and putting it over the goaltenders shoulder to make it 1-0.  Going into the third period Burford came back with an answer to even the score, but Ingersoll replied right away with Graham picking the puck in the corner using his size and hands.  He was able to get it out front where Rizzo made no mistake and give Ingersoll the 2-1 win.

The third and final game Ingersoll found themselves on the road against a big strong team from Port Dover.  Port Dover set the tone early with hit after hit.  Even though Ingersoll out shot Port Dover 23-18 they came away with a 4-1 loss with the only goal going to Wein.

The Unifor Local 88 midget rep boys will be busy this week with three games in three straight nights.
