Think Pink Night for the Unifor Local 88 Midget Rep
Ingersoll came out to support the boys on their opening
night home game as “Think Pink” took over the arena in a great show of support
for breast cancer awareness. The Unifor
Local 88 Midget Rep boys came out in warm up with great energy and ready to
play.
The game started with end to end action, but Tavistock struck first taking an early lead of 1-0 with 5 minutes left at the end of the first. The boys came out to compete in the second period evening the game up 1-1 with a goal from Graham. Tavistock stuck back quickly less than a minute later with a PP goal to take the lead again. Not to be out done Ingersoll kept the pressure on and tied it up late in the second period with a PP goal by Dunn. Haagsma’s hard work in net kept Ingersoll in the game. So it all came down to the third period, where Tavistock scored early to take the lead 3-2 and Ingersoll found themselves in penalty trouble making it tough for the comeback resulting in a loss.
It may have been a loss for the Unifor Local 88 Midget Rep Boys, but the night was a success thanks to all who supported the “Think Pink” Campaign!!
