Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264 and Six Nations Bantams February Match up
Ingersoll's Bantam team, sponsored by Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264, met with Six Nations Bantams, the last day of February. The Ingersoll team had their work cut out for them, as they faced this rival team again, having gone home with a loss in previous match-ups. Would this game be different?
While the two teams struggled hard against each other, Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264 had the first goal of the game, scored by Bram O'Connor, assisted by Graydon McDonald. This opening goal would be the only goal of the first period.
The second period began with Ingersoll on top! This would not remain the case, however, as Six Nations were able to find the back of Ingersoll's net twice within the second period. Not to be out done, however, Ingersoll's team worked hard in the remaining minutes of period two. O'Connor once again put the puck behind the Six Nations goalie, with help from Tyler Mounsteven; and the game was tied.
The third period began with both teams at two points. As the final buzzer sounded the end of the game, the score remained a tie. A great game for both teams!
The Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264 Bantam team will close off this memorable season with games against Simcoe and Port Dover over the next two weeks.
