Hail Of Puck-fire Unleashed Against Tillsonburg
Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264 Ingersoll Bantams welcomed Tillsonburg's Bantam team to Express home ice, on Monday, November 3rd.
From the game's beginning to its end, Tillsonburg's goalie was kept very busy as Ingersoll dominated possession of the puck throughout. The goals against Tillsonburg started in the first period, with Zackary Ackert scoring from an assist by Camden Mcdougall. This was followed by a top-shelf shot from several metres out, off the stick of Braydon Todd, as he received the puck from Bram O'Connor and Tyler Mounsteven. The puck bulleted through the air, hitting the inside top corner of the goal post and ricocheting against the Tillsonburg mesh for goal number two.
The Second period likewise saw the Tillsonburg goalie accosted with a barrage of pucks. He stopped so many shots; but there were just too many more for one man to take, and four more goals were scored. Mounsteven, O'Connor, Mitchell Pearson, and Mcdougall all put the puck away, with help from Todd, Jonathen Landsborough, Marcus Frizelle, and Justin Burns.
In the final period of this hail of puck-fire, it seemed Ingersoll was going to achieve a shutout. However, Tillsonburg managed to squeak one into the Ingersoll net. Ingersoll answered back right away with another goal, then another.
With final goals by Landsborough and Ackert – assisted by Todd, Dylan Goyette and Anthony Ziraldo, the game would end with an 8 to 1 victory for Ingersoll's Thamesford Pizza/Unifor 3264 over Tillsonburg.
