Close Game for Novice Local League Anderson Appliances
Anderson Appliances went on the road to Belmont Saturday February 28th for a friendly exhibition game.

All the Ingersoll players were fired up to be playing at a new venue. Team Anderson Appliances was stepping outside of it's comfort zone, there was a new goalie in town. T. Belore was goaltending and K. Brown was playing defense. The excitement started with Ingersoll scoring two minutes into the period. #10 C. Skevington scored the first point assisted by #14 E. Schram. Belmont jumped on the comeback train and scored one, two, three goals within one minute of each other. The first period ended with Belmont leading 3-1.

Ingersoll returned to the second period ready to battle. #11 C. Brownscombe scored assisted by #7 M. Vervaecke in the first thirty seconds of play. Two minutes later, #8 A. Stratton scored unassisted, tying the game up. Belmont received a two minute penalty and did an awesome job of shutting down Team Anderson Appliances from extending the lead. With only two minutes left in the second period, Belmont scored. One minute later, #7 M. Vervaecke scored unassisted. The parents and fans were sitting on the edge of their seats. The second period ended tied 4-4.

Fifteen minutes was on the board for the third period. That extra five minutes seemed like an eternity for the spectators. Belmont scored two minutes into the period. Ingersoll fought to get the puck past the Belmont goaltender. Five minutes later, Belmont took the lead further with another goal. Team Anderson Appliances was not to be deterred. With his second goal of the game, #8 Alex Stratton scored unassisted.
Final score Belmont 6 Ingersoll 5.
