Dorchester Tyke Select Tournament Summary
On Dec. 27th and 28th our Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects were part of the Dorchester Tyke Tournament.  Our team was very excited and anxious to play.



Dec. 27th Game 1:          LaSalle Sabres vs Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects

The first match was up against a very experienced LaSalle Sabre team that had played together for some time. They were ready for the game as the team played their positions well and had excellent passing that proved to be too much for the Ingersoll Team.  The Game was filled with many shots, saves, penalties from both teams. Great effort on the entire Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke team and #30 M. Cudney was busy stopping many shots.

The Final Score was LaSalle Sabres 6 – Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects 0. 

Dec 27th Game 2:              Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects vs Chatham / Kent Tykes

Both teams had moved on from their first games and were looking for wins to improve their respective points with in the Tournament. The Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects came out hard at the  beginning of the game and were finally rewarded for their play when #4 N. White assisted on #16 E. Cuthbert’s Goal at 4:06 of the first period.  At 9:33 of the first period, Chatham/Kent’s #22 B. Gebal slipped one in to the Pharmasave Goal, tying the score 1 – 1. 

At 2:24 of the second period, #19 S. Bryant scored from in front of the net after a pass from #11 W. Parsons. This gave the Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects a lead of 2 – 1. At 6:32 of the second Period, Chatham/Kent’s #77 E. Reeve evened the score after receiving pass from #6 L. Chicowski. Score was now 2-2.

The third Period was full of end to end action by both teams, very exciting hockey. Both Net minders were tough to beat in this period.

The Final Score was Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects2 vs Chatham / Kent Tykes 2.

Dec 28th Game 3:              Port Stanley Tykes vs. Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects

The Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects were looking to improve their tournament record and came out this game with all cylinders firing. Most of the play was in the Port Stanley’s end throughout most of the game. Scoring was as follows.

Dec 28th Game 4:              Dorchester Tykes vs. Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects (Semi Final)

This semifinal the Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects were looking for their first win against the Dorchester Tykes.  The game started off with a high pace with both teams skating end to end with each team having chances to score.  The Dorchester Tykes efforts were rewarded early in the game which made it difficult for the Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects to recover from. The Ingersoll team did not have a lack of effort, but the Dorchester Tykes seemed to have the bounces during this game.

The Final Score was Dorchester Tykes 5 – Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects 0.

The Ingersoll Pharmasave Tyke Selects finished the tournament with a record of 1 Win, 2 Loses, 1 Tie and great deal of experience of playing together as team.  Good Job Kids… Keep up the hard Play.
