Thamesford Pizza Faces Off Against Port Dover
Port Dover's Bantam team sailed into the Ingersoll arena, ready to face off against Thamesford Pizza on Sunday, October 26th.

From the top of the game, Thamesford Pizza was in control.  A barrage of pucks were fired at the Port Dover goalie, who managed to stop many, but was beaten by several.  The first period was marked by an early goal as Braedan McNeil opened the scoring, with an assist from Hayden Homewood.

The excitement continued into the second period as both teams were at their best.  Thamesford Pizza's Craig Wild would get the team's second goal, with assistance from Mike Veale.  Port Dover did manage to get past the defensive line in this period, and then put the puck home to take their first goal of the game.  Ingersoll's Thamesford Pizza answered back, however - 15 seconds later - as Anthony Ziraldo received assistance from Marcus Frizelle to score the team's third goal of the game.  The period would not end until Veale put the puck home with a little help from Austin George.

As the third period began, both teams continued their offensive assaults and defensive strategies on the ice.  In spite of Port Dover's goal deficit, the team played as if they were ahead and wanted to keep it that way.  They out-smarted Thamesford Pizza and put the puck to bed a second time.  Port Dover's Bantams were an incredible example of a team playing with great heart and unending determination.

The end did come to this game, however, and with it, three more goals had been scored by Ingersoll's Thamesford Pizza.  Those were Jacob Branderhorst with assistance from Veale, Homewood, with assistance from McNeil, and in a reversal, McNeil was assisted by Homewood to bring the game to a close.

Connor Young-Craig rounded out this competition with his incredible style and finesse in the Thamesford Pizza net.  Port Dover had many attempts to score, but only two were able to get past Young-Craig.  Thanks to his skills and efforts, Port Dover was held at 2 while Thamesford Pizza stacked up 7 goals to take the win.

Thamesford Pizza will play their next game at home, on November 3rd as they welcome Langton.
