"Barn Burner" for Atom L.L. Team Tirecraft
It was another exciting game Monday February 10th for the Atom local league Team Tirecraft when they faced off against the Simcoe #1 team.
Simcoe started off the first period strong with a goal four minutes into the period and another goal two minutes later. They ended the period leading 2-0.
The excitement started with Simcoe receiving a two minute penalty two seconds into the period. Team Tirecraft tried hard to score with the man advantage, but Simcoe worked their magic to kill the penalty. Simcoe stepped up their lead with two more goals once the penalty had been served. Team Tirecraft added a number to the scoreboard five minutes into the period. #18 E. Martire scored unassisted. Ingersoll received a two minute penalty. Simcoe capitalized on this and scored. Simcoe now leading 5-1. With only six seconds left in the second period, #18 E. Martire scored assisted by #15 B. Wright.
The battle continued between Ingersoll and Simcoe. Ingersoll got their break when Simcoe received a two minute hooking penalty. Twenty seconds later, #15 B. Wright scored assisted by #10 E. Robinson. Ingersoll received two more penalties in the third period. They did a great job of holding off the Simcoe team from scoring. Final score 5-3 in favour of Simcoe.

Centreman E. Robinson has been playing hockey for six years now. His nickname is "EM". His two favourite hockey teams are Edmonton and Detroit. Em's player of choice is centreman #10 Shawn Horcoff who plays for the Dallas Stars.
