6-4 Win for Team Tirecraft Atom L.L. against Simcoe 2
Team Tirecraft made the trek to Simcoe Sunday afternoon on the 9th of February.

The first period was busy with lots of back and forth action from both teams. With two minutes left in the period, Simcoe scored their first goal. Team Tirecraft retaliated with #7 T. Vervaecke passing to #19 N. Emonts who slipped it over to #10 E. Robinson to score. The first period ended tied 1-1.

Simcoe #2 took control briefly in the second period by scoring within the first two minutes. The rallies continued the next three minutes until Team Tirecraft set up their scoring play. #14 C. Clifford grabbed the puck and passed to #18 centre E. Martire who passed to winger #11 Z. Lewis to score. Simcoe took advantage to score two minutes later. Ingersoll scored one minute later with defenceman #6 D. Kingsbury passing to #10 E. Robinson to score. After a line change one minute later, #14 C. Clifford passed to #11 Z. Lewis to score again.
Second period ended with a score of 4-3 in favour of Ingersoll Team Tirecraft.

Team Tirecraft was pumped with their one goal lead. They played hard to keep the Simcoe team under control. Three minutes into the period, #18 E. Martire fired off a slapshot to score. Simcoe did not give up. They scored three minutes later. The suspense continued for the remaining five minutes of the game. Both teams battled hard. #18 E. Martire fired off another slapshot at the Simcoe goalie to score with only one minute left in the game. Final score 6-4 for Team Tirecraft.

#14 C. Clifford started hockey at four years old. Mr. Clifford floats back and forth between centre and winger. His favourite hockey team is the Toronto Maple Leafs with local Londoner Nazem Kadri as the player he admires most.
