3-1 Home Rink Win for Atom L.L. Team Tirecraft
It was game two in the Ingersoll vs Delhi#2 series on Monday January 20th. Coach C. Robinson had practiced strategy with Team Tirecraft during the weekend practices to keep key Delhi players in check for our next game. Keeping them in check is exactly what they did!

Team Tirecraft utilized their coaches directions to keep the Delhi #2 team under control. Both teams were looking for the chance to capitalize on their opportunity to score. Delhi found their chance with thirty six seconds left in the period and flipped the puck into the net.

The goal advantage gave Team Tirecraft the determination to even things up. All the players worked and skated hard throughout the second period. With three minutes left, #11 Z. Lewis carried the puck into the Delhi zone and passed it over to #18 E. Martire who fired it into the net. One minute later, Team Tirecraft sustained a slashing penalty, giving Delhi the advantage. Ingersoll did an amazing job of passing the puck and killed the two minute penalty. The second period ended tied 1-1.

In period three, things fired up for Team Tirecraft. They were not backing down from the Delhi team. Three minutes into the period, centre #14 C. Clifford carried the puck down into the Delhi zone. #7 T. Vervaecke followed closely behind and parked himself right in front of the Delhi goalie. Clifford passed the puck to Vervaecke who shot it into the net. Two minutes later, Ingersoll received another penalty. They worked their magic to waste the two minutes and the man advantage on the clock. The battle continued for the remaining two minutes left in the game. Team Tirecraft found another scoring opportunity with a mere forty seconds left. #8 E. Robinson stole the puck, passed to #16 J. Dorsman who shot it past the Delhi goaltender. Final score 3-1 for Ingersoll's Team Tirecraft.
