Butterworths Novice L.L. loses 4 - 2 to Anderson Appliances
The arena was filled with excitement Monday February 20th as Team Butterworths faced Anderson Appliances in their semi-final playoff game. Both teams have won and lost to each other in previous games throughout regular season play.
Anderson Appliances dominated in the first period. They started off strong with a goal six minutes into the game. Then scored again with just over a minute left in the period. Anderson Appliances finished the period winning 2-0.
Anderson Appliances capitalized in the first three minutes and scored another goal. Team Butterworths got their opportunity with two minutes left in the second period. Anderson Appliances received a two minute penalty. #16 E. Cuthbert skated with the puck on a breakaway and scored. The period ended with Anderson Appliances leading 3-1.
Team Butterworths stepped it up a notch during the third period. They killed a two minute penalty halfway through the final period. With only two minutes left in the period, #10 C. Hardeman scored assisted by #16 E. Cuthbert. Anderson Appliances scored thirty seconds later ending the game for the victory 4-2.
