Home Town 2-2 Tie for Novice L.L. Team Butterworths
The sub zero temperatures didn't deter the Team Butterworths fans from attending their game against Simcoe on Friday January 31.
It was a close game that had the spectators sitting on the edge of their seats the entire time.
All the excitement happened in two minute intervals throughout the first period. Simcoe started things off scoring a goal two minutes in. Ingersoll showed Simcoe who was boss by scoring two minutes later. Guess what happened next? Simcoe scored with a goal two minutes later. The first period ended with Simcoe up 2-1.
Team Butterworths tied the game up three minutes into the second period. Both Simcoe and Ingersoll had several scoring attempts throughout the remainder of the game. Final score, 2-2 tie.
