Two Novice Local League Teams Face Off
Team Butterworths faced Anderson Appliances Monday night January 13, 2014. Anderson Appliances won the game 5-0.
It is intriguing to see these two teams that practice together play against each other. Both teams were in "Game Mode", sizing each other up for the right moment to score. They skated and passed back and forth from one zone to the next. Ten minutes flew by and the period ended scoreless.
Anderson Appliances brought on the heat for the second period. Two minutes after the puck dropped, Anderson Appliances scored. Team Butterworths tried hard to even the score. Unfortunately, Anderson Appliances scored again two minutes later. Team Butterworths attempted to shake off the upstart, not in time for Andersons to score again with two minutes left in the period. The second period ended 3-0.
In the third period, Team Butterworths picked up the pace. They did a great job holding off Anderson Appliances for the first ten minutes. Anderson Appliances slipped through the defense and scored their forth goal. One minute later, Anderson scored again, ending the game with a 5-0 score.
Tough one Team Butterworths.
