The Carmeuse Lime AE's defense pairings were gelling ...
The Ingersoll defense pairings were gelling in foggy Caledonia Wednesday night as the Express visited the Thunder's rink.

Early on, a 2-man powerplay allowed Mason Schneider (Mitchell Graham) to step in and blast a shot from the point, glove side under. 2nd shot, soon after, by Schneider was a hard wrister but the Thunder goalie was on his game. Thunder scored shorthanded late in the first to tie it up.

The players showed some good form by sticking with their man and keeping the puck in at the blue line. A Thunder goal was called off as the net was off its moorings. Scramble in front of Jesse and the opposition is up by one. Two minutes later, Caledonia walked in for another.

We successfully killed off yet another penalty. Wilson continued to keep the game close with great saves. The "D" were battling to keep the puck in deep. Dzyngel scored on a pass from phantom #7 (per the gamesheet). Adam's immediate lovetap of an opposing player allowed him to reflect for a couple minutes about his goal from the sinbin.

At the end of 2 periods of play, the Express are in the thick of it with Caledonia's "A" Team. Caledonia scored again soon into the 3rd.

The Express had some good chances on the powerplay. Fans seen good puck movement and pressure but the boys couldn't muster up the much needed goals to bring the game within reach.

Game sheet reads: Caledonia 4 Ingersoll 2
