The battle of Highway 19 continued last Sunday…
The battle of Highway 19 continued last Sunday as the Carmeuse Lime Midget A/E’s travelled to Tillsonburg for their second rendezvous of the regular season with the Tornadoes.

Ingersoll took the lead with a goal-mouth scramble goal by Jeff Couse (Joel Couse, Mitchell Graham) late in the 1st period. The Thunder battled back only 17 seconds later to tie it up. Tillsonburg took the lead with a power play goal, and less than one minute later, they were up 3 1 late in the second. Shots after 2 periods of back and forth play were tied at 13 a side. The Express would answer back with a beauty goal tipped by Jeff Couse from Joel Hall’s wrister from the point. Another quick one by Matt Foster (Jeff Couse, Luke Zegers) got the momentum building, and the Express showed that they are capable of making passes that pay off. Nick Rizzo’s toe drag pass to Garret Maier was enough to secure the win. Final Score: Ing 4 Tburg 3 Shots on Net: Ing 26 Tburg 23 Positive Note: Only one penalty served
