SCMHA Playoffs continue
Returning home from their finalist medal at the Huntsville K of C Tournament, the R. McNiven and Sons Ingersoll Express Atom Rep team was right back on the ice Monday night, travelling to Waterford for a Southern Counties playoff game. This made game #8 in six days for the boys, and I think a number of them (and parents) were looking forward to the end of the game and a night or two off from the rink.
Ingersoll jumped out to a quick lead in the game, with a nifty goal by Parker Hodgson. Hodgson followed that with 2 more to give him the natural hat trick, before Waterford finally put one past Logan White. From that point on however it was all Ingersoll, with another goal by Hodgson, as well as markers put up by Nolan Adkins and Brennan Rupert. After the dust settled, the team finished up with 6-1 victory. So the last 6 days for the team was successful for the most part, going 4-3-1 over the eight games.
Ingersoll next takes the ice at home on Thursday, March 21 when they host Delhi at 7:00 pm, and travel to Six Nations on Saturday, March 23 for a 3:30 pm game to finish off the Southern Counties playoff round robin.
