Morning not so good for Ingersoll Express
The R McNiven and Sons Insurance Brokers Ingersoll Express Atom Rep team took to the ice to faceoff against the Ennismore Eagles Saturday morning.  The game started off strong for Ingersoll, who showed plenty of offensive pressure in the first period.  Midway through the period Ingersoll was able to take the lead, with Cole Ellis putting home a nifty little centering pass from Brennan Rupert into the open net.  Just minutes later, Parker Hodgson netted is third of the tournment, and Ingersoll seemed to have things well in hand, taking a 2-0 lead into the second period.

Ingersoll came out and forced the play again in the second period, but just couldn't find the back of the net on the opportunities that they were getting.  The puck often seemed just out of reach when Ingersoll had a chance on the open net, and the score remained 2-0 no matter how many chances Ingersoll was presented with.  Three minute into the second Ennismore put one past Logan White, and the Eagles cut the lead to 2-1.  Ingersoll kept up the pressure and the chances, and still seemed to have the game well in control going into the third with a slim 2-1 lead.

And once again, the third started the way the second finished.  Ingersoll had numerous chances but just couldn't bury the puck.  Ennismore on the other hand was able to bury the puck, and three and a half minutes into the third they tied the game at 2-2.  Time to buckle down and take advantage of the opportunities that were coming their way again, and Ingersoll could salvage this game.  The pressure Ingersoll was putting on Ennismore continued, and they had their chances again, with no success.  And just two minutes after tying the game, Ennismore took a 3-2 lead, really putting the pressure on the Express.  Ingersoll continued their prssure right down to the last buzzer, having two good chances on net in the last 14 seconds, but still couldn't bang home the equalizer, and they finished the game with a frustrating 3-2 loss a result, knowing that they left goals on the ice, and leaving a bitter taste in their mouth for the way the game went.

Next up for Ingersoll is the Ayr Flames at 3pm on Saturday afternoon, and an early Sunday game against the Paris Wolfpack.
