Hard Lesson Learned
Even though we controlled 75% of the plays, and skated well for 3 periods, we couldn't finish and it showed, losing to Simcoe 9-2
Passing, skating, cycling the puck and gelling as a team is coming along good, but lack of concentration on the ice at times seems to hurt the most. Cohen Alexander played his first game back after being sick week one and was a spark plug scoring once. Evan Hopson scored our second goal, but we just couldn't get shots past their defence when needed.
Scoreboards may tell us who wins and loses but it doesn't tell the story of how hard our kids try every shift, never giving up.
We're bound to have some bumps and stumbles during the season but we'll continue to work hard in practice and we will keep getting better.
