Express Take 1-0 Series Lead on Titans
The Ingersoll Express Novice REP team jumped out to a 1-0 series lead in their OMHA Quarter Final series lead against the Tavistock Titans. Davin Gray (Cohen Belore / Brayden Wright) potted the team's first two goals to give the home side the 2-0 lead. Tye House (Gray / Ethan Macpherson) dangled a back hander past the goalie to give the Express the 3-0 cushion. Max Branderhorst (Wyatt Adkins) banged home a rebound, while Gavin Bryant (House / Macpherson) found the five hole to give the Express the 5-0 lead going into final frame. Carter Spence was flawless in his time in net saving the five shots he faced. Macpherson (Gray / House) and Gray (Capern / Kloepfer) both found the back of the cage on their shots in the third period. Tavistock countered back with two goals of their own that managed to get past Dominic Kingsbury, but Macpherson (House / Bryant) finished off the scoring for the night that led to a 8-2 win for the Express. Game 2 is in Tavistock with a 5:20pm puck drop.
In other OMHA Quarter Final match up Simcoe blasted past Aylmer 5-0 to take the 1-0 series lead.
