OMHA Game 4 Is Set for Ingersoll Wednesday Night
Tuesday Night the Ingersoll Express travelled to Lambeth for Game 3. With the series tied at 1-1 as the Lancers came into Ingersoll and shocked the home side and crowd with a 5-4 victory and gained home ice advantage for the series.
In the opening period the Lancers got out of the gates fast as they scored the games first goal past Carter Spence. Ethan Macpherson (Alex Schuett / Max Branderhorst) evened up the score at 1-1, but Davin Gray (Ethan Capern & Wyatt Adkins) scored giving the Express a 2-1 lead going into the second frame. A back forth second period Macpherson & Gray goals set the stage for an exciting third period with the scored tied at 4-4. With under six minutes left rookie winger Kaleb Kloepfer (Braden Wright & Gavin Bryant) wristed a shot top shelf that brought the visiting side to their feet and the Express a 5-4 lead. A resiliant bunch that the Lancers have been all series long they shot back with a late goal of their own past Dominic Kingsbury to tie the game and force it to Overtime.
Early in Overtime it was our seasoned sniper Davin Gray who broke free from the Lancers defense and managed to squeak a back hand past the Lancer goalie to give the Express the 6-5 Game 3 victory.
Game 4 is set for Ingersoll on Wednesday March 27th at 7:00pm
Set for the Pre-Game festivities is members of the Ingersoll Pipe Band will be "Piping & Drumming" the Ingersoll Express onto the ice.
Local Musician Kenny Archer will be performing the National Anthem with his Electric Guitar.
