MISSION ACCOMPLISHED - OMHA CHAMPIONS
OMHA CHAMPIONS

In front of a packed house at the Ingersoll Arena the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice REP team hosted the Lambeth Lancers in Game 4 of the OMHA Championships.  In the game's opening minutes Lambeth came out of the gates pressing the Express defence but Express goalie Carter Spence made back to back kick out saves to set the tone for the game.  Ethan Macpherson (Davin Gray, Alex Schuett) brought the home crowd to its feet when he scored the opening goal that he wristed by the Lambeth goalie.  Moments later Davin Gray (Gavin Bryant) found the back of the net on his powerplay goal to give the home side a 2-0 cushion.  Lambeth capitalized on the power play when they were able to get enough traffic in front of Spence to screen him for a goal from the slot.

Heading into the second frame the tension began to grow with each passing minute, but Spence continued to snuff out any Lambeth opportunity.  Gavin Bryant made a strong one on one move to the net that was stopped by Lambeth's goalie, Cohen Belore battle hard in the corner to knock the puck free and made a strong tape to tape pass to his wing mate Tye House (Bryant, Cohen Belore) who tipped in the pass to give the Express a 3-1 lead.  Wyatt Adkins began one of his trademark end to end rushes moving past each Lambeth player who looked to be standing still, then made a strong pass to a streaking Macpherson (Adkins) who banged in the goal for the 4-1 lead.  To seal the victory like he has done all year long it was Davin Gray slicing and dicing through the Lambeth team to bury one of his trademark top shelf goals to bring the Novice Express a OMHA Novice B Championship!

Congratulations to the players and coaches for a great journey. Thanks goes out to the fans of Ingersoll who came out and brought home ice advantage back to the town of Ingersoll! Special thanks go to the parents and families for their support all season long.
