Novice Express 2-0 at International Silver Stick
Opening day of the International Silver Stick the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice REP team opened their first game against the Penetang Flames. Gavin Bryant got the ball rolling with the teams first three goals to give the Express the cushion they needed. Other goal scorers were Davin Gray, Cohen Belore, Wyatt Adkins, Ethan Macpherson and Cohen Belore. Final score Ingersoll winning 8-1.
Game two was a tough battle for Ingersoll as they were matched up against a tough defensive Mitchell team. After the first period it was 0-0, but again Gavin Bryant mounted the charge for the Express scoring a hat trick again, but it was his third goal that was the tournament highlight as defenseman Wyatt Adkins made a tape to tape pass up the middle to a cutting Bryant who received it in full stride to score on the breakaway. Gray accounted for the other Ingersoll goal in the dying seconds of the game. Both Carter Spence and Dominic Kingsbury combined for the shutout. Final score was Ingersoll 4-0.
Ingersoll plays their final pool play game at 1:30pm vs. the Chicago Wolves.
