Saturday night the Ingersoll Express Searles Motor Products Novice REP team face the Aylmer Spitfires in Aylmer. Short handed without top scorer Davin Gray and Head Coach Greg Bryant didn't seem to faze the veteran squad as Tye House (Gavin Bryant, Cohen Belore) got the ball rolling with turn around shot that found the back iron. Bryant (Belore, Alex Schuett) stretched the score to 2-0 after the first period as he scored off a great wrist shot that handcuffed the Aylmer goalie. Early in the second period the Spitfires cut the Express lead in half with a breakaway goal of their own. In the third period the Express opened up the flood gates with a birage of goals from Max Branderhorst (Bryant), Bryant (Wyatt Adkins), Schuett (House, Branderhorst) and Ethan Capern (House, Branderhorst) to give the Express a 6-1 victory. Carter Spence returning from B.C. and supporting a new Spiderman mask did a fantastic job between the pipes. Thank you to our Midget Coach Brian Nutt for stepping in to coach the Novice squad!
