Tirecraft Atoms Thump Burford
Your Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom LL hockey team found its offence Feb. 12 in Ingersoll as the team thumped Burford 6-0. The team has played great defence all season, but have struggled to score goals lately. Not on this night.
Brandon Gordon opened the scoring in the first assisted by Will Jones and Symon Hucheson. In the second, David Timleck found the back of the net shortly after the puck dropped assisted by Camden McDougall and Brent Fewster. Timleck would score again with two minutes left in the period, this time assisted by Shaun Holt and Collin Dench. With time about to expire in the second, McDougall scored a breakaway goal assisted by Ethan Laporte and Devon Dell. Midway through the third, David Timleck completed the hat trick assisted by Colin Van Dyk. McDougall scored his second of the game as time was about to expire assisted by Ryan Bruschetto and Dell. Goaltender Megan Longlade earned the shutout for team Tirecraft. Longlade was not as busy as her counterpart, but made the saves when needed. Next up for team Tirecraft as they chase a playoff spot is Simcoe.
