Tirecraft Atoms Battle For Playoff Spot
Your Ingersoll Tirecraft Atom LL hockey team continue to battle for a trip to the playoffs. Every game takes on a new importance if the team is to realize their goal.


In Ingersoll on Feb. 5, Tirecraft hosted Waterford. Ingersoll controlled the play in the first period with a relentless attack. Team Tirecraft were rewarded for their hard work when Ryan Bruschetto fired the puck past the Waterford netminder. Collin Dench and Shaun Holt drew assists on the goal. Waterford would score late in the first to tie the game 1-1. The remainder of the game became a battle between the goaltenders. There was no scoring in the second period, but the back and forth action created many chances for both teams. In the third, Camden McDougall would get the winner with 1:13 left on the clock. Assisting on the goal were Will Jones and Brandon Gordon. Megan Longlade was fantastic in goal for Ingersoll making several key saves to seal the victory.
On Feb. 11, team Tirecraft travelled to Oshwegan to play Six Nations. Tirecrafts quest for a playoff spot took a hit with a 3-0 loss. Devon Dell, David Timleck, and Colin Van Dyk all played well creating scoring opportunities. The defensive play of Ethan Laporte and Symon Hucheson continues to impress as the team continues to push for the playoffs. Next up for Tirecraft Is Burford.
In other news, the team would like to thank all that helped make their bottle drive a success back in January. The team raised enough money to participate in their second tournament this year. Team Tirecraft will travel to Mildmay, Ont. and play in the 53rd Annual Mildmay- Carrick Monarchs Atom tournament.
