Express drop close one in Norwich
The Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice team travelled to Norwich Thursday, November 18 to take on the home town Knighthawks.  Ingersoll started off strong, with Ethan Vlemmix potting a goal 28 seconds into the first period.  The Express continued to build on their lead, and by the 11 second mark of the second period led Norwich 3-0, with Ethan Emerson netting two.

Norwich would not give up though, and tried to chip away at the Ingersoll lead.  After two periods, Ingersoll still led 3-1.  However, period number three was time for Norwich to mount their comeback.  Midway through the third period, with the score still 3-1, Knighthawks forward Lane VanBoekel was able to solve Express goaltender Logan White, and put in his first of two.  Two minutes later, VanBoekel scored again, to knot the game at 3-3.  With momentum on their side, Norwich continued to press, and were able to finally take the lead with 3:36 left to play.

Ingersoll fought valiantly to get the tying goal, but were unable to get another past the Norwich goaltender.  Final score - Norwich 4, Ingersoll 3.

In addition to their goals, Vlemmix and Emerson each also got an assist, as did Parker Hodgson and Nolan Adkins.  Ingersoll next faces action Sunday, November 21 at 12:30 pm in Simcoe.
