Express dominate in Paris
On Remembrance Day, Thursday, November 11, the Searles Motor Products Ingersoll Express Novice Rep team travelled to Paris to take on the Wolfpack.  The Express welcomed back goaltender Logan White, who returned from sunny Florida to join the team following their second place finish at the Paris Tournament last weekend.  White started the game in net to give goaltender Gabe Robinson a bit of a rest, since Robinson had played the last 6 games by himself, and did an excellent job.

Ingersoll started the game flying out of the gate, and Ethan Emerson potted a quick one just 19 seconds into the game.  The Express did not let up the pressure, and proceeded to carry the play in the Paris end for the entire game.  When the Wolfpack was able to get into the Ingersoll zone and get some pressure, White didn't look the least bit rusty in his return, stopping all of the shots that he faced with confidence.  By the end of the second period, Ingersoll had built a comfortable 4-0 lead, and White was ready to rest and have Robinson finish off the game.

Gabe came in and picked up right where he left off in the tournament on the weekend, stopping a couple of quick flurries by Paris and keeping them off the board.  Ingersoll continued to put shot after shot on the Paris net, with their goaltender doing an excellent job of holding the Express kids off.  With just 3 minutes left to play, Ingersoll put another past the goalie, taking a 5-0 lead.  As time counted down, it looked as though the team of White and Robinson were going to be able to notch their first shutout of the regular season.  However, with just 2:01 left to play, Paris was able to capitalize on a rebound that was just out of Robinson's reach, and got on the board at 5-1.  It was too little too late though.  Ingersoll kept the pressure, and goal number 6 was scored with just 11 seconds left, on a beautiful passing play created by Parker Hodgson.

Scoring for Ingersoll were Emerson (2), Nolan Adkins (2), Ethan Vlemmix and Brennan Rupert.  Assists went to Parker Hodgson (2), Emerson (2), Daniel Martineau, Vlemmix, Daytn Raciot and Cole Ellis.

Searles Motor Products Novice Rep next play on Thursday, November 18th at 6:00 pm in Norwich.
