Searles Motor Products Novice Rep Team bounces back with an impressive win over Tillsonburg 6-4
Searles Motor Products Novice Rep took the back end of a
home and home series against Tillsonburg winning in impressive fashion 6-4 in a
hard fought game. Parker “wheels” Hodgson
had his best game of the year with a 2 goal and 2 assist performance. Captain Justin Holmes also had 2 goal game
and rugged forward Riley Ellis kept winning battles all game to help the Searles
Motor Products Novice Express earn the victory.
Captain of the Searles Motor Products Novice Express Justin Holmes opened the scoring at 8:49 of the first assisted by Tanner Gray. At 4:43 of the first, Tanner Gray scored another of his famous “top shelf” goals assisted by Alex Foster and Parker Hodgson. Alex Foster then got in on the goal scoring action putting the Searles Motor Products Novice Express ahead by 3 at 1:35 of the first assisted by Clayton Hammond. After getting out to an early lead, the Searles Motor Products Express gave up a goal at to Tillsonburg before Parker “wheels” Hodgson regained the 3 goal lead at 4:11 of the second period assisted by the Tori Robbles and Riley Ellis.
After letting Tillsonburg rally back to tie that game 4-4, Parker Hodgson potted his second of the game to regain the lead assisted by Matt Berzins at 10:59 of the third. The Searles Motor Products Novice Express then closed out the scoring at 6:58 of the third with a goal from Justin Holmes assisted by Keegan Clark and Parker Hodgson. Home ice proved to be the difference in this home and home series as the two teams are evenly matched.
