The Searles Motor Products Novice Express lose a close game to Caledonia 7-3 to move their ODMHA playoff record to 1 win, 5 losses and 1 tie.
On February 11th, the Searles Motor Products Novice Express played
their second last game of the ODMHA playoffs against a very strong Caledonia
team. The Express fought hard but ended
up on the losing end of a 7-3 game.
The Searles Motor Products Novice Express have played some great games in their ODMHA playoff run and were happy with the outcome of game, even though it was a loss. Caledonia opened the scoring at 7:05 of the first but Justin Holmes of the Searles Motor Products Express responded with an unassisted tally at 5:34 of the first. Caledonia retook the lead at 2:13 of the first before Riley Ellis scored a beauty, which almost matched his celebration, at 1:44 of the first. Clayton Hammond and Ethan Emmerson got the assists on the goal. Caledonia scored late in the second period to go back on top for good before scoring 4 more in the third. A late third period goal by Searles Motor Products Express Parker “Wheels” Hodgson finished the game with a 7-3 loss for the Express. The Searles Motor Product s Novice Express play their last ODMHA playoff game in Tillsonburg on the 14th.
