to Burford 4-2 in a close game. Ethan
Emerson and Tanner Gray scored for the Express while Tory Robbles and Daniel
Martineau played solid games but it was not enough to match a tough Burford
team.
The Searles Motor Products Novice Express have been improving all year. The chemistry is getting better and their defensive zone coverage is helping to keep them in games. While they have struggled to put the puck in the net at various times this year, their effort has always been their strongest attribute. Against Burford, the Searles Motor Products Novice Express got behind early but Tanner Gray tied the game at 1’s at 5:22 of the first period. Assisting on the goal was rugged two way center Keegan Clark and Captain Justin Holmes. To add to the buzz in the arena, Ethan Emerson scored with 3 seconds left in the first period to put the Searles Motor Products Novice Express ahead by 1 to close out the period. Justin Holmes assisted on the goal.
Unfortunately, that was it for the Searles Motor Products Novice Express scoring on the night. They had lots of chances but ran into a really hot goalie. Burford tied the game in the second and then scored two unanswered goals in the third to end the game with a 4-2 win over the Searles Motor Products Novice Express.
