Anderson Appliance 3 Delhi 3
Monday February 15, 2010

Coming off a 3-3 tie in Waterford on the weekend, Anderson Appliances was looking for a win. Although they did not get it, they took another 3-3 tie against Delhi and what a battle it was.  In the first few minutes of the game the lines were evenly matched, although centerman Nolan Costa made it known that he was not to be beaten at faceoffs, winning almost everyone he had tonight. Opening the scoring for Anderson Appliances was Adam Csucs with a nice play up the boards from stay at home defenceman Donovan Purcell, to the heart of Anderson Appliances, Annilese Racicot, who is always in the corners doing the dirty work for these boys. Anderson Appliances was flying high off that goal and the fans were cheering, with a couple of close calls and beautiful centering passes that just went to wide. Nolan Costa won another faceoff and sent the puck back to offensive defenceman  Camden McDougall, who then fed Costa's right hand man Mark Tucker who managed to get the puck back to Nolan Costa, who made no mistakes and buried the  puck into Delhi's net. At the end of the first, Anderson Appliances were out on top 2-1.

An exciting second period saw Anderson Appliances forwards Paul Shearer and Ben Fullerton playing their positions to perfection and stationed perfectly in front of Delhi's net on several occasions but unable to have the centering pass sent over to them. David Timleck and Leland Loranger played a great two way game helping out both Anderson Appliances forwards while coming back to help out the defence when needed. Second period scoring had defenceman workhorse Camden McDougall scoring a goal from Joseph Schonberger and a helper going to hardworking Nathan Peacock. We ended the second period with a score of 3-2. With lots of credit going to goalie Brodi Carbaugh who was facing some difficult shots on the night from the puck lifting Delhi team.

Anderson Appliances third period had a lot of opportunities that we just couldn't put in the net due to wonderful goaltending by Delhi. Some amazing plays were made by Joseph Schonberger, while Delhi had quite a few odd man rushes. In the end Anderson Appliances team came out with another game to be proud of and another 3-3 tie. Next up is sure to be another nail bitter against Waterford in the Ingersoll Tournament.
